The West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences offers courses on Veterinary and Animal Science, Dairy Technology and Fishery Science. Courses Eligibility


General Eligibility for all undergraduate courses: Class XII (Academic or Vocational stream) with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English (60% average).

For Masters Degree the eligibility is a bachelor’s degree in the required field with 60% 0r 55 % marks according the University norms. Seats are reserved for SC/ST students according to the guidelines.

Admission Scenario

The West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences accepts admission application for its Dairy Technology courses through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination also. Other than that the students can also apply directly to the university by getting the application form from the university office.

The West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences also organizes extension programmes for research of adaptable technologies. In view of this a rural extension center and district extension center has been established.
