Eligibility for Application:

Aspirants for the post graduation and diploma courses offered by the university will be selected completely on the basis of merit. Their merit will be determined through a competitive test conducted by the West Bengal University of Health Science. If any applicant, who is already possessing a Post Graduate Medical degree will not be permitted to pursue a post graduate degree in the same discipline of study.

Dental Course:

The WBUHS or West Bengal University of Health Science offers both undergraduate and post graduate degrees on dental course to the students. The whole curriculum is divided into two parts:

BDS or Bachelor in Dental Surgery:

The BDS course offered by the WBUHS is of four years duration and provides the students thorough theoretical as well as practical knowledge about this particular field of study of health science.

Admission in BDS:

Candidates who have qualified the Higher Secondary examination or any other equivalent examination, which must be recognized by the WBUHS with subject combination Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects are eligible to apply for this course. If applicant has not scored 50% marks at least in each of the subjects, then his application won’t be considered.

MDS or Master in Dental Sciences:

MDS curriculum of the university covers a wide range of area of study. All those students who have qualified the BDS examination can apply for the MDS course. Their selection will be done completely on the foundation of their merit and the merit testing will be done through the competitive examination, conducted by the WBUHS.

Eligibility for Admission in Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology:

Students who are willing to apply for the Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology must be between 17-25 years of age and must have passed the Higher Secondary or any other equivalent examination with at the least 50% marks in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and any other fifth subject.  

Eligibility for Admission in Bachelor of Physiotherapy:

In order to take admission in this course, the applicant has to secure at least 50% marks in the Higher Secondary or any other examination of equivalent importance. Applicant must have the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and any other optional subject.
